Auburn Riverside coming off a solid showing at Las Vegas invitational

Auburn Riverside, fresh off a strong performance against an elite field in Las Vegas, Nev., returned home to dispatch visiting Kennedy Catholic in a 4A North Puget Sound League cross divisional volleyball match Wednesday night.

Game scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-21.

Calley Heilborn had 12 kills and 16 digs, Ciera Zimmerman delivered 26 assists and Camden Heilborn produced 12 digs for the Ravens, who improved to 5-0 overall.

Anna Maracich contributed five kills, a block and two aces to the win.

At the invite-only Durango Fall Classic present by Nike last weekend, the Ravens won four of seven matches, took second in pool play and finished 22nd overall in a national-class field of 64 teams.

“We played some incredibly talented teams with high prospect, Division 1 athletes,” said Ravens coach Chris Leverenz. “It was so good for us.”
