Shampoo, the champion 3-year-old filly last year, appears headed for big things again in 2008.

The classy filly defeated a tough group of fillies and mares Sunday in the $21,000 allowance feature at Emerald Downs, sweeping to the lead in the upper stretch and easily fending off the favored Kissntheboysgoodby for a two-length victory. Ridden by Ricky Frazier, Shampoo paid $9.60 $4.40 and $3.40.

Shampoo tied a track record with four stakes wins in 2007.
