The Everett Silvertips eliminated Seattle from the WHL playoffs, blanking the Thunderbirds 4-0 at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett on Saturday night.

Everett took the first-round, best-of-seven series 4-1.

The Silvertips got goals from Riley Sutter in the first period, Ondrej Vala and Patrick Bajkov in the second period and an empty-net goal from Connor Dewar in the third period.

Everett outshot Seattle 46-36 in the game.

Seattle goalie Liam Hughes had 42 saves on 45 shots.

Everett goalie Carter Hart had 36 saves.
