Trojans, Lions meet elimination in district boys basketball

Pa’Treon “Joosey” Lee scored 22 points and KaSean Griffin had 9 in Auburn’s 63-49 loss to Skyview in a West Central/Southwest 4A District elimination game at Tacoma’s Mount Tahoma High School on Monday night.

The Trojans finished the season 15-9.

Sidney White had eight points and Jason Brown Jr. and Isaiah Dunn each finished with five for Auburn.

Also

Skyview bounced Auburn Mountainview 60-49 from the tournament in consolation play at Tacoma’s Wilson High School last Friday.

Zach Richardson scored 16 points, Quinn Lacey had 15 and Zevion Trapp finished with 12 for the Lions (7-18).

In girls district play, Auburn met elimination, falling to Olympia 43-36 in overtime at Graham-Kapowsin High School on Feb. 6. Emily Strojan’s 13 points paced the Trojans (10-13).

Auburn Mountainview meets Rogers of Puyallup in an elimination game Tuesday at Mount Tahoma High School. Tipoff is 7:45 p.m.
