Briefs | Bray commits to University of Montana

Auburn Riverside junior Brooke Bray has verbally committed to attend and play volleyball at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Bray helped lead the Ravens to a second-place finish at the 3A state tournament in 2007.

A 6-foot-1 middle hitter, Bray was being courted by Boise State University, Oregon State University, the University of Northern Colorado and Western Washington University.

Mountainview to host SPSL all-star games

Auburn Mountainview High School will host the South Puget Sound League/Seamount 3A and the South Puget Sound League 4A Senior All-Star games on June 1 and June 3.

On June 1, the 3A game will pit the SPSL 3A Division all-stars against the Seamount League and Western Cascade Conference all-stars in a double header. The games will each be eight innings and will be conducted at 4 and 7 p.m.

On June 3 the SPSL North all-stars will take on the SPSL South all-stars in two eight inning contests at 4 and 7 p.m.

Cost to attend the games is $3.
