New hiring system to streamline filling 3,000 Puyallup Fair jobs

People interested in working at the September Puyallup Fair can do so online.
Applicants can apply at www.go2worksource.com starting at 8 a.m. Monday, July 26. Applications will not be accepted in person at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center.
The Puyallup Fair has hired approximately 3,000 workers in the past, and plans to hire similar numbers for the Sept. 10-26 fair.
Seasonal jobs are available in these categories: foodservice workers, cashier, sales staffing, cleaning/maintenance, ride setup, rides and games. Additional information about each job category will be listed on the website. Wages begin at $8.55 per hour, with some paying more based on duties and skills required.
For applicants who do not have computer access at home, they may use computers at these locations free of charge to apply:
WorkSource offices
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Pierce County Library System
• Hours: Sunday 1-5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. -6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
• Locations: Gig Harbor Pierce Co. Library: 4424 Point Fosdick Drive NW; Lakewood Pierce Co. Library: 6300 Wildaire Road SW; Parkland/Spanaway Pierce Co. Library: 13718 Pacific Ave. S; South Hill Pierce Co. Library: 15420 Meridian E; Sumner Pierce Co. Library: 1116 Fryar Avenue.
Puyallup Library
• Hours: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Pierce County Library System also has three mobile units set up with computers, and will travel to these locations so people can apply.

Applicants will receive confirmation that their online application was received within four business days. As vendors contact WorkSource with their staffing needs, applicants will be contacted, proving an interview date and time, and required form they must bring with them.
To qualify, prospective employees must be at least 16 years old and be able to provide picture ID as well as proof of legal right to work, such as a social security card or alien registration card.
All applications must be submitted online, not in person.
