Auburn’s gentle grazer

Allen Guerder watches over his horse, Irish, as she grazes on horsetail at the Ferrellgas lot on West Main Street in Auburn.
Guerder, who said his horse was “the best kind of lawnmower,” lives adjacent to the Auburn business and said he occasionally brings the 14-year-old mare over to graze. Guerder also owns another horse, Sassy.
