Auburn police arrest drunken, disorderly man | Blotter

The Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Oct. 22 and Oct. 25:

Oct. 22

Burglary: 12:20 p.m., 4005 West Valley Highway N. Somebody cut the lock and broke a latch on a construction yard gate but did not enter the yard and took nothing. The suspect was driving a 26-foot yellow Penske box truck that may have been stolen the night before.

Too much liquor: 3:53 p.m., 2455 F St. SE. A drunken male was knocking on doors and windows of the Kona Kai Apartments, sufficiently riling up residents to call 911 and complain that they did not know blotto boy. Police arrived and the guy refused to cooperate, netting himself a tidy arrest for disorderly conduct. During the arrest the male continued his bad, uncooperative ways, resisting attempts to handcuff him, so police booked him for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of a police officer. The guy was not hurt.

Burglary: 6:05 p.m., 1015 24th St. NE. A person or persons unknown entered Cascade Middle School through unlocked windows. School officials couldn’t say if the intruder or intruders actually stole anything.

Possession of stolen vehicle: 10:22 p.m., 2110 56th St. SE. Police arrested and booked a man for possession of a stolen vehicle and several other charges after he crashed a stolen tractor-forklift and ran away. Police found the man a short distance from the collision and took him into custody without a fuss.

Oct. 23

Theft from vehicle: 9:16 a.m., 1100 block of D Street Northeast. Somebody broke into a vehicle and stole various guns and other items. The suspect then tried to use the victim’s cell phone at a nearby business.

Trespassing: 10:18 a.m., 3800 block of D Place Southeast. A youth found his right to be at a place yanked after he shot BBs through said place’s window.

Trespassing: 5:52 p.m., 3600 block of Juniper Court Southeast. A drunken male burst into a house and threatened a woman with small children. The occupants told the male several times to leave, and he finally did. The woman knew the male. The prosecutor is considering Trespass 1 charges.

Oct. 24

Shoplifting: 4:45 p.m., 1701 Auburn Way S. A male ran out of Walgreens with an unknown number of unpaid items, sounding the alarm system in his flight.

Oct. 25

Theft: 7 a.m., 30620 116th Avenue SE. A student at Rainier Middle School allegedly stole another student’s iPod containing the victims’s school locker combination. The young suspect then allegedly used that combination to break into the victim’s locker and swipe its contents, including her schedule, which school authorities found in the suspect’s binder. Police are forwarding the case to the King County Juvenile Prosecutor for consideration of charges.

Theft; Overnight, 2712 Auburn Way N. An employee of Valley RV called to report thief-inflicted damage to six RVs. The thieves had cut and stolen a number of large diameter extension cords. The employee estimated the damage to be approximately $600.
