The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 183 emergency requests for service between Oct. 17 and Oct. 23, among them the following:
Oct. 17
Sports injury: 4:19 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a girl with a knee injury and transported her to Auburn Regional Medical Center.
Oct. 18
Aid call: 12:40 p.m., (Pacific). VRFA firefighters responded with Boeing firefighters to help a Boeing employee complaining of chest pain. Firefighters and King County Medics treated the man, and medics transported him to ARMC.
Oct. 19
Aid call: 9:17 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped an elderly man complaining of chest pain. King County Medic transported the man to ARMC in stable condition.
Oct. 20
Automatic fire alarm: 11:37 a.m., (Auburn). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to the Sounder Station for a fire alarm. Security told firefighters that a person smoking in the bathroom had triggered the alarm. Crews quickly reset the alarm and returned in-service.
Oct. 21
Aid call: 9:39 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics helped a person with a rapid heart rate before a private ambulance transported him or her to ARMC.
Oct. 22
Truck vs. pedestrian: 7:22 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a truck vs. pedestrian accident at the 300 block of West Valley Highway in Pacific found a man on the road with life-threatening injuries. After firefighters and King County Medics treated the man on the scene, medics transported him to Harborview Medical center in Seattle for further treatment.
Oct. 23
Aid call: 8:47 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a woman suffering from overdose symptoms. Firefighters helped the woman and transported her to ARMC.
