Edward Robert Salzer, born May 24, 1933 in Wausau, WI, passed away July 29, 2012 in Centralia, WA. Ed graduated from Wausau Senior High School in Wausau, WI in 1951. He served both in the Army as an x-ray technician and in the Air Force as a captain. It was during his time in the former that he met his wife Ann, whom he married in Neubrucke, Germany in 1955. They had two daughters together: Lee Ann and Barbara. Ed will be remembered by friends and family as a charismatic salesman and storyteller and a lover of dogs, children and his family.He was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice (Pietenpol) Salzer, father John Salzer and daughter Lee Ann Salzer. Ed is survived by his wife Ann Salzer of Onalaska, WA; daughter Barbara (Richard) Roll of Onalaska, WA; sister Judy (Danny) Stoltz of Weston, WI; granddaughters Zoe Brackney of Kent, WA and Amanda (Dustin) Dixon of Auburn, WA; great grandson Jack Dixon of Auburn, WA; and nieces Laurie (Jeff) Kloth and family of Weston, WI, and Deb (Charles) Kirsch and family of Wausau, WI.
