New online map shows Algona groundwater sampling dates, locations

Algona residents can quickly see when and where work crews will sample groundwater by using a new map posted on the Department of Ecology’s website for the Boeing Auburn groundwater contamination investigation.

Ecology is directing a groundwater sampling project in parts of the city, conducted by The Boeing Co. and its contractors, as part of an ongoing investigation to determine the extent of underground water contamination that originates from Boeing’s property in Auburn.

Ecology’s website provides additional information about the sampling work, which will conclude on May 2, 2013.
