Backus is the choice for mayor

Auburn has the good fortune to have Nancy Backus willing to be our next mayor.

Nancy has outstanding credentials for the job. Her strong financial background is needed as cities are forced to do more with less. Nancy has served the community well over the years, including a two-year term as a PTA president, 30-plus years of leadership roles for the Miss Auburn Scholarship Program, serving the youth of our community.

Nancy knows the City operations well with her three terms on the City Council. Nancy is on the governance board of the Auburn Valley Regional Fire Authority and has done an outstanding job representing the citizens of Auburn.

Nancy received her schooling in Auburn, including an associate degree from Green River Community College and continuing on to City University for her bachelor of science in accounting. She is currently a finance manager at The Boeing Co., with nearly 25 years of service.

I am asking you to join me and many others in voting Nancy Backus for mayor in the great city of Auburn.
