Pondelick represents a new approach

I read with a great deal of interest your writeup on Scot Pondelick as “mayoral candidate” for the city of Auburn in the May 3 issue. He’s the new guy in the block who appears to have fresh ideas and to possess a plan on how to improve the deteriorating looks and condition of this city.

Perhaps he’s the man that this town needs, instead of the same old ones from the “good ol’ boys” clique that runs this town, whose plans are the same old plans, yet to be rehashed.

I have grown fond of this town, but we need fresh ideas on how to improve this town, just like how the other small towns surrounding us, like Puyallup and Sumner, have done.

Those towns, compared to Auburn, have moved on and progressed through the years, whereas Auburn has remained stagnant, looking shabby and “deteriorated.”
