Too many fireworks, too much noise

Regarding fireworks noise: I reside in the Riverwalk community located about a mile south of the Muckleshoot discharge area. Beginning about a week before Memorial Day through Independence Day, we are subject to ongoing blasts, building to heavy action every weekend.
I do not agree with (Auburn Police) Commander David Colglazier’s report (“Police report: Fireworks didn’t carry as much of a bang”, Auburn Reporter, Aug. 2) that the “action was lighter this year.” I am more inclined to agree with Dr. Jim Brass’ letter (“Fireworks are not what the Fourth is all about”, Auburn Reporter, July 12).
Perhaps the Muckleshoots could become better neighbors and relocate the fireworks business and discharge area out of Auburn to the east. What position does our City leaders take on this matter?
I also would like Commander Colglazier to visit us on the next July 4.
