DaCorsi’s has a proven record

I am writing to endorse Claude DaCorsi for Auburn City Council.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with Claude in his role as director of the King County Housing Authority’s Capital Construction Department. He has led the drive to increase and improve affordable housing for families throughout the county.

Under Claude’s leadership, tens of millions of dollars of capital improvements for housing for low-income and at-risk families have been created in King County, providing a safe and stable environment for parents and children who have battled through the economic downturn. This work requires a detailed understanding of regulatory regimes, government funding programs, environmental and labor issues, public bids, and the regional political climate.

Claude has demonstrated an exceptional ability to navigate these complex environments and get things done – as hundreds of families who now have improved affordable housing can attest. Creating this housing has also created over 200 family-wage jobs, increased public safety, improved public infrastructure and boosted local economic development.

Claude’s understanding of the real-life issues families confront in our communities is what drives his successful implementation of sustainable solutions, and his strategic vision and management skills will be invaluable in meeting current and future challenges in Auburn.

If I lived in Auburn, Claude would have my vote, because he has a proven record of delivering real improvements for the quality of life in this community.
