Trout brings a new perspective

I am perplexed that our City government, with decades of personal and professional experience, has decided to refrain from supporting the legal businesses surrounding marijuana because they need another year to study the issue.

I do not use marijuana personally. However, I expect our leaders to govern and that sometimes takes courage as well as knowledge. I will submit they may lack the latter.

I recently tasked Auburn City Council candidate Yolanda Trout on why City leaders would chose to allow other governing bodies to take the lead on this issue? I was impressed with her commitment to lead courageously. I am not suggesting or implying her position on the matter is the same as mine, only that she possesses exceptional personal integrity and the desire to make Auburn excellent.

Thus I have decided to give my vote to Yolanda. I cannot stress how important it is to voters to support diverse candidates. Yolanda represents the future of Auburn with a new perspective.
