Rev. Curtis Newcomb
Curtis A. Newcomb died February 7, 2014. He was born August 8, 1923 to Charles and Alma (Swaren) Newcomb in Killdeer, ND. He graduated from Beulah High School in Beulah, ND and served in the Army during WWII. On August 22, 1945 he married Lois Gotchall. He graduated from Powellhurst Bible College & attended Western Seminary in Portland, OR and was pastor of several churches in OR and WA, retiring in 1995 from Lake Youngs Baptist Church in Kent.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lois of Kent; son Dwayne Newcomb (Molly) of Maple Valley; daughter Jan Stewart (Robert) of Port Ludlow, WA; brother Fleming Newcomb (Doris) of Gresham, OR; sister Beverly Stegmeier of Kent; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis Newcomb.
