Gerald (Jerry) Allen Zehner

Gerald (Jerry) Allen Zehner, 77, passed away on February 20, 2014. Jerry was born in Seattle on June 21, 1936.

Passionate to serve his country, he left high school to join the Navy. Upon being discharged he started his 35 year career at The Boeing Company.

While at work he met his wife Ginny. After their wedding on November 3, 1957, the family lived in Auburn and later followed Jerry to his work assignments, living in Tehran, Iran and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, until his retirement in 1995. When not working, Jerry enjoyed coaching football, basketball and baseball, playing softball, camping, fishing, and volunteering at the Auburn Senior Center.

Jerry is survived by his wife Ginny, sister MaryLou Williams (Stan), daughter Cheri Calendine (Ron Johnson), Sons David and Kirk (Kari), Grandchildren Jackie, Ginger, David, Anthony, Ali, Logan, Aaron, Cory, Zach, Nick, Ethan, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Rick and his parents.
