Edna Holstad Hauser
Edna Holstad Hauser, age 86, died at home in Gold Hill, Oregon on April 28, 2014.
She was born at home in La Farge, Wisconsin to Norwegian emigrant parents Emil and Stella Holstad on November 10, 1927. At the age of 6 her family traveled west to Washington State where she attended school in Kent Washington. She married her childhood sweetheart, Claud Hauser in 1946. They raised two sons, moving often to either follow Claud’s job with the railroad, or a new interest. She loved moving to new places and making life long friends along the way. Her optimistic spirit inspired everyone she met and she lived a long happy life with no regrets.
She is survived by her brother Norris Holstad and his lovely wife Jeanne, sons Greg (and Margaret Dials), Gary (Gerri), grandchildren Joe Hauser (Kristen), Erin Hauser, and Jennifer Belague (Ryan), numerous beautiful and intelligent great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
There will be a celebration of her life at the Eagle Point National Cemetery at a later date this summer.
