Support Ritchie for Congress

I’m a quite confused by Jesse Jose’s letter regarding Congressman Dave Reichert.

Mr. Jose says “if” in regards to Reichert’s voting record where he has voted to slash Social Security and Medicare, twice voted against pay parity for women, and voted 15 times for the government shutdown that cost taxpayers $24 billion, and voted 50-plus times to repeal the Affordable Care Act and voted against increasing benefits for vets and their families and LBGT spouses.

These are facts. Reichert’s voting record is in the public domain, and I would encourage anyone who does not believe these troubling votes to look online. It’s all there. He would tell you it himself, but he’s too scared of his own record even to debate his opponent, Jason Ritchie.

Dave Reichert refuses to meet with his constituents and refuses to debate the issues.

He’s hoping that we’ll trust the story he’s told us for the past 10 years as our elected representative.

But a closer look tells us the truth: Dave Reichert is no moderate.

He has voted in lock step with the conservative wing of the Republican Party against seniors, women, families, and the LGBTQ community. And yes-veterans.

Conversely, Jason Ritchie has proved himself to be a friend of seniors and veterans through his small business. He works day in and day out to ensure that seniors, veterans, and other injured Americans can stay in their homes by remodeling them for accessibility.

I want a representative who is proud of his stance on the issues and willing to talk to all members of the community, even those who disagree with him. Jason Ritchie has done just that – and that’s why I will be casting my vote for him on Nov. 4.
