What happened to the levity?

Like many people these days, more and more I seem to rely on the Internet for my news. In the past, however, I always looked forward to that rolled up paper in the driveway.

My entire family has sat around the kitchen while one member read the police blotter out loud for all to enjoy. It’s a shame you no longer publish that dreary news in a manner that made us laugh.

I’m not inclined to read the blotter in its current form and I’m sad to say, seeing the rolled up paper on the ground annoys me now, when once it made me smile.
