Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation hosted its annual KidsDay event Friday at Les Gove Park.

The event offered a variety of inflatable rides, children’s activities, live stage entertainment, mini golf, kids’ arts-and-craft booths, food concessions, more than 80 information/activity vendors, a food court and more.

Featured artists were Brian Lane, offering a Screen Printing activity, Mary Ellen Bowers offering the Pointillism technique and Yon LeMieux guiding children in the creation of old-fashioned peg dolls.

Auburn’s KidsDay is coordinated by Parks, Arts & Rec, with support from Fred Meyer Stores, Valley Medical Center and Seattle Children’s South Clinic and Southcenter Pediatric Dentistry.

Auburn’s KidsDay began in 1985 and from its humble beginning has increased in popularity ever since, adding new entertainment and activities every year.
