Gunshot injures man in Auburn

An Auburn man was seriously injured with a gunshot wound to the head Saturday morning

The incident was an attempted suicide because the man had survived a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face, Auburn Police determined.

The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Police and the Valley Regional Fire Authority & King County Medic One responded to a reported gunshot injury in the 2500 Block of R Street Southeast. Police and firefighters arrived to find man down on the ground with a gunshot injury to the face/head. The incident reportedly happened around 10:18 a.m.

After firefighters and King County paramedics treated and stabilized the patient, paramedics transported the patient to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
