On the farm

First-graders of Holy Family School recently took a field trip at The Mason Jar Farm in Enumclaw.

The students learned about the different types and names of vegetables and fruits grown at the farm. They were introduced into ways of sustainability by living off the land while producing enough for profit. They tasted fresh beats, lemon cucumber, pumpkin muffin and apple cider.
