Donald W. Curry

Donald W. Curry, SFC Ret. left this earth and joined Jesus in heaven on October 11, 2015. He was born on July 12, 1937 in Burley, Idaho and was the son of Kent M. Curry and Laval Dunn. Don was a 42 year resident of Auburn, WA.

Donald retired from the United States Army after nearly 21 years of outstanding service. He served with distinction in the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict earning numerous awards to include Bronze Stars, Air Medals and Purple Hearts.

Donald was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Curry, sister Frances Cerino (Curry) and granddaughter Kristen Curry. Don is survived by his wife Alma Curry; son Donald and wife Candi, son Kent and wife Michelle; stepson Jerry and wife Toni, stepdaughter Sandy and husband Steve, and 18 grandchildren.

A small family service was held on October 15th at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Washington’s Soldier’s Home. (1301 Orting Kapowsin Hwy E., Orting, WA 98360)
