William “Bill” Parsons

William “Bill” Parsons, Sr., a resident of Algona, WA passed away on September 30, 2015. He was born on August 4, 1936 in Aberdeen, WA the son of William Robert and Leone B. Parsons.

Bill served in the United States Army in the 1950’s. He met the love of his life, Louise Francis, and they were married on May 20, 1961.

Bill served as a police officer for 6 years in Pacific, WA for 6 years, including 2 years as the chief. Most of his life, he was a truck driver. In 1973, Bill bought his first truck, and hauled logs and did some long haul trips as well. The last 20 years of his career, he worked in heavy construction. Bill was a Seahawks fan, and always had a large garden that kept Louise busy canning.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Don Parsons. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Louise Parsons; his children, Monica Owens, Melody Marshall and William C. Parsons, Jr.; his grandchildren William S. Parsons, Sr., William M. J. Parsons, and Joshua Marshall; his great grandson William S. Parsons, Jr.; and his sister Sharon Cool.
