Comedy competition returns to the Ave on Friday

The Seattle International Stand-Up Comedy Competition resumes this week, with the Auburn Avenue hosting a program on Friday.
The show begins at 7:30 at the historic theater, 10 Auburn Avenue
America’s best comedians compete for prize money in the 36th annual competition. From its beginnings as a little contest in bars in 1980, it has grown into a touring festival, with 23 shows, in 26 days, in 17 different venues in cities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Recommended for ages 18 and above.
Tickets are $20 regular, $18 for students and seniors.
