Montana woman killed in crash on Highway 18 identified

A driver going the wrong way collided with another car on Highway 18 in Auburn and was killed early Thursday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 60-year-old Nancy L. Clark from Whitefish, Mont. was eastbound in the westbound lanes at about 12:30 a.m., when the 1997 Honda Civic she was driving hit a Toyota driven by a 54-year-old Federal Way man.

Clark died at the scene, and paramedics took the injured man to St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way.

The Honda ended up on the right shoulder and the Toyota in the center of the lane.

The fatal accident closed the road early Thursday for four hours at the Green River Bridge.
