Police child victim advocate to speak on Internet safety at Annie Wright Schools

Internet safety expert Stefanie Thomas speaks about cyber-bullying, social networking, online posting, sexting, safety tips and more in a free talk on Monday, Nov. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m, in the Great Hall at Annie Wright Schools, 827 N. Tacoma Ave., Tacoma.
Thomas has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in law, society and justice, as well as a master’s degree in criminal justice from Seattle University. She previously worked for the Snohomish County prosecutor’s office and police department as a child victim advocate, and has experience in domestic violence, violent crime, Internet crime and sexual exploitation of children cases.
