Auburn Police arrested a second suspect tied to a string of arsons since last fall.
Detectives developed sufficient information to find probable cause to arrest a juvenile and a cousin to the first suspect, Michael McGrath, who was arrested Thursday.
Police said the juvenile suspect, a 16-year-old boy, was involved in at least six intentionally set fires, two of which were occupied residences. The boy was arrested late Friday and booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center for first-degree arson.
Both individuals worked together and separately on several arsons, police said.
Auburn Police learned about the information while attempting to verify information obtained during McGrath’s arrest.
Detectives continue to investigate.
