The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 190 calls for service between March 14 and March 20, among them the following:

March 14

Car fire: 3:50 a.m., (Algona). Having responded to a car fully ablaze at the Ellingson Road off-ramp to State Route 167, firefighters drowned the fire with a water and foam mixture and then turned the scene over to the Washington State Patrol.

March 15

Vehicle vs. pedestrian: 8 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics assessed a woman who’d been struck by a van, and medics motored her off to Valley Medical Center (VMC).

March 16

Aid call: 10 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters treated a young woman who had suffered a seizure at work, and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

March 17

Home fire: 4:18 p.m., (Bonney Lake). Having responded with East Pierce Fire and Rescue to a mutual aid house fire, VRFA firefighters supplied water and helped East Pierce attack the fire.

March 18

Aid call: 8:41 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters transported to MAMC a woman who was complaining of dizziness.

March 19

Accident with fire: 1:25 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters arrived at the scene of a two-car, high-speed collision to find all of the occupants had gotten themselves out and one of the vehicles ablaze. Firefighters snuffed the fire. The occupants of both vehicles refused medical aid.

March 20

Aid call: 12:35 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a boy who was complaining of seizure-like activity, and a private ambulance transported him to a local hospital.
