City to host community picnics
Published 3:37 pm Monday, April 25, 2016
Auburn wants to host a picnic in your neighborhood.
City organizers – in conjunction with the Neighborhood Programs division – have created a fun, informal way for residents to communicate with City staff and elected officials.
All the City asks is that residents come by, hang out, eat some good food and share their compliments or concerns.
The City will provide hot dogs and hamburgers if neighbors can contribute a side dish. The Valley Regional Fire Authority and Auburn Police Department will cook.
Picnic dates are May 19 (West Hill); June 28 (Lakeland Hills); July 27 (southeast Auburn); Aug. 25 (north Auburn); Sept. 15 (south Auburn) and Sept. 22 (Lea Hill).
All picnics begin at 6 p.m.
