Striped Water Poets hosts an all-day event during AugustFest at the new Community & Event Center at Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St SE.

The literary showcase is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A book and small press fair will also be in the center along with a presentation of Haiku provided by Michael Dylan Welch and Haiku Northwest and a take-a-book leave-a-book book exchange table.

The showcase is part of AugustFest, formerly known as Auburn Days, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the park.

The festival includes two entertainment stages, a beer garden, food, craft and specialty vendors, a parade along Main Street, a car show and free activities.
