The Auburn community came out to honor the life of Justin Lazara at Les Gove Park on July 21.

Family and friends attended a memorial service for 3-year-old Justin, who lost his battle with cancer on July 3.

In Justin’s honor, the community gathered with Adam and April Lazara to give Justin a fourth birthday party he so deserved.

The party included food, rides and other activities. Kids and families wore Star Wars, Seahawks or superhero hero-themed shirts – Justin’s favorite characters and things.

The Lazara family organized the event to repay the community for all its support.

“We are overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that our family, friends and neighbors have shown,” the couple said in an email.
