Families and students, welcome to the new school year.
I am looking forward to another great year of student learning in the district. We have many exciting initiatives this year that will contribute to all students achieving high standards and graduating prepared for college, career, and life.
In November, the Auburn community votes on a bond proposition to build two new elementary schools and replace six aging schools. There will be lots of communication about the bond in the next couple of months, and I encourage you to become informed about the proposition and what it means to Auburn School District families.
In the winter, we will engage our community in creating a new strategic plan to guide us through the coming years. Our goal is to involve all segments of our community in developing a plan to continue Auburn’s tradition of success while building new opportunities for our students.
In Auburn, we want all students to be successful and are looking at everything we do with a lens of equity. We are committed to closing the achievement gaps for students of every race and family income level. We will continue building relationships to engage, educate and empower all students.
We look forward to serving you and your student during the school year. I look forward to meeting you in our wonderful community.
