A new tradition on wheels

The Edgeview neighborhood near Lakeland Hills put together a Holiday Parade Food Drive on Wednesday, with help from the Auburn Police Department and Block Watch members.
Residents drove cars decorated in Christmas lights and went through the neighborhood playing Christmas music, while Watch members collected food donations from neighbors.
In 90 minutes, 2,278 pounds of food were collected and close to $700 in monetary donations.
Organizers plan on making the holiday drive an annual tradition in the neighborhood.
