Chamber, City to host Healthy Auburn Resource Expo

The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Auburn present the Healthy Auburn Resource Expo on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Auburn Community and Event Center at Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE

The expo is focused on being healthy at any age on three main topics:

Body – Healthy eating, exercise and active living;

Mind – Educational programs, workshops and health and wellness screenings and;

Spirit – Mental health, relaxation, stress reduction, and the arts.

The event is free and offers free health screenings, acupuncture, chiropractic services, alternative medicine resources, healthful eating and exercise workshops and interactive booths from the YMCA, Mosby Farms, Green River College, Iron Horse Casino, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, Sound Mental Health, Wesley Homes-Lea Hill and Cascade Regional Blood Source to name a few.

Mayor Nancy Backus kicks off the event and shares updates on the work of the City’s Healthy Auburn campaign. Prizes will be given throughout the day.
