Sunnyside bounces Auburn Riverside from state tournament | 4A girls Hardwood Classic

Emilee Maldonado scored 26 points as Sunnyside eliminated Auburn Riverside 55-46 in the first round of the 4A state girls basketball Hardwood Classic at the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday.

Sunnyside advances to play Glacier Peak in a 7:15 p.m. quarterfinal game Thursday.

Mckenzi Williams had 24 points to lead the Ravens. Faith Turner finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
