Let’s ban fireworks

Well, another July 4 has come and gone and I, for one, am glad it’s over.

After enjoying a fun-filled day at Les Gove Park in Auburn, I returned home to an evening that lasted until 2 a.m. of nothing but disgusting, nerve-racking noise from the hundreds of law-breaking citizens shooting off illegal fireworks.

When is the City of Auburn and the Valley Regional Fire Authority going to take matters into their own hands and ban fireworks?

I know they have to deal with the Muckleshoot (discharge area), but this has gone on for years and far too long. Every year it’s the same thing and the same excuses.

I cannot be the only person infuriated with this disgusting practice. Are these insane people out there committing this disruption really celebrating our independence? I think not.
