Auburn girls turn back Auburn Mountainview

Behind Keilani Songcuan’s 17 points and Jaya Harshman’s 16, Auburn knocked off Auburn Mountainview 51-44 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic Division girls basketball game at Auburn High School on Tuesday night.

The Trojans snapped the Lions’ three-game winning streak.

Rebecca Thareek chipped in 10 points and Emily Strojan contributed 9 for the Trojans, who improved to 4-2 in league and 5-4 overall.

Kaylie Abriani’s 11 points led the Lions (4-2, 7-3).

Auburn travels to Auburn Riverside to play the Ravens (1-5, 1-7) on Thursday. The girls tip off at 5:45 p.m., the boys at 7:30.

At Todd Beamer 66, Auburn Riverside 22: Kashe Stansberry had seven points and eight rebounds, and Carol Chikusa finished with seven points and six rebounds in the Ravens’ loss at Federal Way.
