The Run2Educate Color Run – a benefit for the Buena Vista Seventh-day Adventist School in Auburn – was a show of color and fun on a sunny Sunday.

Participants navigated a 2.5-mile course of mixed surfaces – grass, dirt and concrete – with three color-throwing stations and fun (optional) obstacles.

The event was non-competitive, with no race timing or awards, just pure colorful fun.

Milorad “Milo” Cavic, a silver medal winner in swimming at the 2008 Olympics and a former world champion for Serbia, spoke at the event. Cavic is a coach at the King Aquatic Club.

The event included breakfast and a health expo with screening, games and prizes.

The run raised money for the health and safety of students at the school. Buena Vista SDA’s goal is to raise $25,000 toward renovating its gymnasium to benefit sports, physical education and community programs..
