When they arrived at the garage fire in the 29600 block of 127th Southeast, the VRFA and the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority discovered that the owner had already doused the fire, with moderate damage to the home. Nobody was hurt. A fire investigation revealed that the fire was accidental.

Firefighters responding to a small, one-story house fire and finding fire pushing out of every window knocked down the flames, and then entered for an interior fire attack and search, which turned up a dead dog. After the fire was out, the fire marshal’s office conducted an investigation.

July 25

Commercial fire: 1:24 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to an apartment fire and finding a smoke-filled building discovered a hidden wall fire that extended from the concealed space into the attic, so they extinguished it. Investigators worked to determine the cause of the fire.
