Amar Rivers scored 22 points and Kaden Hansen had 14 as Auburn used a late spree to defeat Auburn Riverside 62-52 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic boys basketball game last Friday night.

The Trojans improved to 6-1 in the division, 11-3 overall. The Ravens dropped to 5-2 and 10-2.

Auburn went on a 14-0 run to end the game. Rivers had six points and Hansen scored five during the run.

Julius Cain’s basket had given the Ravens a 52-48 lead before the Trojans went on their run.

Auburn led at the break, 29-27.

The Trojans, who have won five of their last six games, host division-leading Federal Way on Thursday. Their Tuesday game against Todd Beamer was postponed because of weather.

The Ravens are at home against Enumclaw on Thursday. Their Tuesday game at Decatur was also postponed.

Elsewhere, Auburn Mountainview (3-4, 5-8) beat visiting Enumclaw 49-40 last Friday night to remain in the playoff hunt.
