Algona man barricades himself inside his home with family

Algona, Auburn and Federal Way Police had their hands full Monday afternoon dealing with three suspects who had barricaded themselves and three hostages inside a home in the 200 block of Algona Boulevard South, and who allegedly fired shots at law enforcement, authorities said.

The incident ended at about 4:30 p.m. when authorities rescued the hostages and took the suspects into custody.

Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department, said he didn’t know if the suspects shot at a police officer or at police officers.

“A lot of police agencies responded,” Crossley said.
