The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Fred Thumhart at the Cheryl Sallee Gallery, on view May 2 through July 6, 2023.

Artist Fred Thumhart is a photographer who believes that “creativity is a fusion resulting from a collision between chaos and order, and that the special kind of creativity we call art is generated by a fearless, playful approach to the world that escapes the everyday conventions and results in a new and startling order.”

His intriguing images range from “pure realism to abstraction, and surrealism” aiming to “show the viewer something she/he has never seen before.”
