Joyce Rosa Sturtz
June 21, 1932- April 16, 2026
Joyce Rosa Sturtz was born to Earl and Rosa Keller in Beach, ND on June 21, 1932. She passed away April 16, 2026. When she was 10 years old, the family relocated to Algona, WA. This is where she would spend her early years growing up.
She met Paul Sturtz through her brother, Earl Keller, and soon a relationship developed. They were married May 1, 1953 and that marriage lasted 62 ½ years before his passing in 2016. They started a family right away and had 6 wonderful children. They include Lanny Sturtz (Anna), Doug Sturtz, Loren Sturtz (Jeanette), Patti Ryan, Paul Sturtz (Patty) and Becky Keefe. She is blessed with eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She cherished them all very much.
During her working career, Joyce was a para-educator at various elementary schools in the Auburn School District. Her greatest joys were being with family, watching sports, spending time at Mason Lake, and enjoying the sun in Arizona. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service for Joyce Sturtz will be held Saturday, June 6, 3:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, WA. Donations can be made to Parkinson’s research.
