Court honors Troop 401’s latest Eagle Scouts

An Eagle Court of Honor was conducted for Auburn's Joseph and Tyler Cushing, of Boy Scout Troop 401, at First United Methodist Church last Sunday.

An Eagle Court of Honor was conducted for Auburn’s Joseph and Tyler Cushing, of Boy Scout Troop 401, at First United Methodist Church last Sunday.

Joseph’s Eagle Scout project was putting up a fence at the Auburn Valley Humane Society with the Zone 3 Fire Explorers.

Tyler’s project was helping with the new Lea Hill Park. He is member of the Junior City Council.

Sarah Miller, the City’s emergency preparedness manager, presented honors on behalf of the Community Emergency Response Team program. Former mayor Pete Lewis presented them with U.S. flags, and Mayor Nancy Backus presented the Presidential Service Award for their many hours of community service.
