May 23

Theft: 2:30 p.m., 3600 block of D Street Southeast. A man who had been living in his car was the victim of a car prowl that deprived him of all of his possessions.

Theft: 12:32 p.m., 3618 West Valley Highway N. Small hands grabbed a Bigfoot Java tip jar and the person to whom those hands were attached ran off with it.

May 25

Theft: 2:38 a.m., 1800 block of C Street Southeast. Thieves, or a thief, stole tools of undisclosed value from a tool box in a pickup truck.

Burglary: 4:45 p.m., 800 44th St. NW. Somebody burglarized a Union Pacific Railroad maintenance storage shed.

May 26

Recovered property: 12:18 p.m., 1521 D St. NE. Motel employees cleaning a room found a handgun stowed between a mattress and box spring. By checking the handgun, police learned its owner had reported the weapon stolen to the City of Buckley’s Police Department in December of 2014.

Trespassing: 7:32 p.m., 102 Cross St. SE. Police issued three persons trespass admonishment letters because one of them, a girl, had tried to steal something from a grocery store. Police returned the girl, a reported runaway, to her mama.

Recovered stolen vehicle: 11 a.m., 30000 block of 52nd Avenue S. A man called police to report that somebody had left a motorcycle in blackberry bushes just north of his home.

May 28

Animal problem: 109 R St. NE. A man complained that on May 17 a dog bit him while its owner held said beast.

May 29

Agency assist: 9:34 a.m., 1825 K St. SE. A missing kid was found taking a test at Olympic Middle School.

Burglary: Overnight, 204 H St. NW. Somebody connected to an Auburn business arrived at work to find a section of fence surrounding the business cut and evidence indicating that thieves had prowled a number of vehicles inside the lot.

Theft: 10:44 a.m., 301 Lund Road SW. Between May 22 and 29, bad guys stole scrap metal from a business’ yard and recycled it.

Theft: Overnight, 200 block of Auburn Way South. Somebody stole an undisclosed amount of money from a mobile food truck.

Theft: Overnight, 713 35th St. NE. Nissan of Auburn reported the theft of rims from a vehicle parked on the lot.

May 31

Robbery: 3:34 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police busted a man who was fighting with Goodwill’s store security to keep his stolen property. Turns out, dude had methamphetamines and heroin upon his soon-to-be-jailed person.
