Vote no on I-517

Buyer beware. Have you read the initiative I-517? Do you want to be accosted by a signature gatherer inside the stadium at a Seahawks or Mariners game, or inside City Hall, or inside the court house?

Sam Reed, former Secretary of State, says that most complaints received by his office regarding harassment connected to signature gathering were from citizens who were harassed by signature gatherers, not the other way around.

As written, this initiative does not define all terms. For example, what is “maintaining an intimidating presence” mean? All in all, this initiative should be called “The Time Eyman Income Enhancement Initiative.”

Please vote no on I-517.
