SR 18 to close at SR 167 nightly on Monday, Tuesday

Drivers relying on State Route 18 between Federal Way and Auburn should plan for delays on the nights of Monday and Tuesday.

Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close westbound SR 18 and reduce eastbound to one lane at State Route 167. The work is a part of the SR 167 8th to 277th Southbound HOT Lane project.

Closure information

• Monday, Oct. 26 to the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 28 – Westbound SR 18 will be fully closed at SR 167 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

• Monday, Oct. 26 to the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 28 – Eastbound SR 18 will be reduced to one lane at SR 167 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

• Monday, Oct. 26 to the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 27 – The westbound SR 18 ramp to southbound SR 167 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Tuesday, Oct. 27 to the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 28 – Eastbound SR 18 and the westbound SR 18 ramp to southbound SR 167 will be open but subject to rolling slowdowns.

• Detours will be in place, but drivers should still plan extra time for travel and use alternate routes on Interstate 5, Interstate 405, and Interstate 90, if possible.
